Older Cats in Need of Homes

Sadly, many older cats are turned over to shelters for financial reasons, death of owner or because they are no longer wanted. Many of these cats are unable to adapt to shelter life and have little hope of being adopted. The following 5 cats have found themselves in this situation. We are working with The Cat Protection Society to help find them permanent homes because they have had great difficulty living in a shelter.

Kermit (male) has a beautiful medium length fur and is extremely lovable. He is declawed and is approximately 8 years old.

Ebony is a male around the age of 10 to 12. Black cats are very difficult to find homes for as well as cats that are this age. He was unable to adapt to life in a shelter, so it is important that we find a permanent home for Ebony to live out the remainder of his life. –

This beautiful short-haired charcoal colored cat with emerald green eyes is Smokey (female). Gray cats are not all that common and I know there are people out there that have an affinity for gray-colored kitties. She previously lived with 2 other cats (that have already been adopted), so is used to being in a household with more than 1 cat. Smokey is approximately 2 to 3 years old. She has a very loving and agreeable demeanor.

Davey (male) is a handsome charcoal and white tiger kitty. He is around 2 years old and loves to be held and have his neck rubbed.

Vanda (female) was found living near Hobby Lobby. She has been spayed and is approximately 2 years old. She is a cat with an independent nature that enjoys being petted and loved on greatly, under her terms.  So, we need to find her a loving home where she is free to exercise her need for freedom.  While on her own she was close to a younger cat, and has since shared a room with a variety of other cats and has gotten along well with them.

Jazz is a domestic short hair tabby. She is approximately 2 years old and is just one of those kitties you can’t help but love!! To meet Jazz is to love her.

This handsome duo is Sugar and Spice! They are female sisters who have spent their entire life together. They are both grey tortoise domestic short hair cats and are approximately 6 years old. They love each other and get along very well. We would hate to separate them at this point in time and are seeking a single home for the two of them.

If you are able to find room for another cat in your home, please consider adopting one of these older cats that generally make very loving pets and are already trained and less destructive. If not, please tell others who might be interested and have them contact Patti at 352-735-6040. Thank you.
